With over 1 year in experience in Private tutoring, working with children aged 4-16, running one on one and classes up to 12 children I am comfortable in most tutoring environments. I do specialise in highly interactive and collaborative tutoring for GCSE / A-Level students where I can feel out what teaching style works best for them and build custom presentations or activities.

Specialising in History and English where I achieved the highest grade in my selective grammar school I will focus particularly on technique, as content is what is typically focused on during lesson time. Here we will work on analytical skills and exam preparation. Importantly how to actually approach and think about a question is something neglected often during classes but might be the most important and best way to boost ones grade. For me this is what took me from barely passing my mocks at GCSE History to full marks in one exam and now studying it at the University of Bristol.

My focus during classes is on building a relationship with the people I work with. Before my first session I will try and get a feeling on what works for them. Do they like talking through problems in which my tutoring sessions will become full of a back and forth discussion about topics (I know that worked best for me as a student), or do they work best by implementing ideas in writing with serious and critical feedback that they can implement immediately and work on.
