I believe that it is obvious when a teacher does not enjoy the subject they are teaching. Which is why I truly believe being passionate about the subject will reflect in the teaching process! Even for those students who may not love the subject I am teaching, I would be more than willing to make it work through constructive feedback, an open approach at teaching and engaging lesson plans. I would like to offer an inclusive environment for students who have learning disabilities or other disabilities, are second or third language English, are part of the LGBTQ+ community. I understand how this can affect learning in school and wish to address it appropriately and with a supportive attitude. I believe rewarding for good behaviour is very important, so I would maintain a healthy balance between teaching and rewarding students for their progress. Their progress would be measured by performance in class, understanding of the subject not only shown through tests and memory but true understanding. I would like to aid pupils with whatever issues they may face in class and cannot be addressed directly with the class teacher- a bit of extra support can go a very long way! I would enjoy asking students what specific exercises they enjoy doing, their learning style ( eg. auditory, kinaesthetic, visual, reading and writing) as everyone has their strengths and can be well implemented in any subject. I like to believe it would be a learning process for the both of us and hopefully enjoy it while it lasts!
