Depending on the needs of the student, depends on how I teach. Methods range from whiteboard teaching, asking questions, reading things together to make sure they understand, using drawings to create memories and sharing useful recourses after lessons to make sure they have the best chance at success. I will always ask students what they want to do, and what their weakest topics are, working up and smoothing over rough patches to ensure that they are solid across all bases.

I want students to enjoy my lessons as much as possible, I am a child myself and understand how important it is to have that trusting and relaxed atmosphere. Having food and drink during tutoring is totally okay and actually encouraged as long as it isn't serving as a major distraction, during the GCSE period it is important to look after yourself and making sure you are hydrated and fed is a great way of doing so. Quiet music is also okay as I know it can be a good way to concentrate.

I myself have just finished my GCSEs, I am expected to get grade 7s, 8s and 8s (As and A*) especially in my sciences and maths. I took triple higher science under AQA so am more familiar with the layout and questions on those papers. I took higher Edexcel maths, but will happily teach Foundation as well. Science and maths are my best subjects, specifically Physics. Physics is my best subject out of all my subjects and I can teach it very confidently. I also have a grade 6 (B) in statistics which is an extra qualification I took on, which increased my depth of knowledge in maths.

Science lessons would be AQA as I know how they are structured. Maths lessons don't need to be a specific exam board.
I want my tutees to feel comfortable and be ready for their exams so I encourage anyone who is interested to reach out, the first lesson is free to see if I'm the right fit for you.
