Inah Okpa

As a Ph.D. Candidate in Accounting and an Accounting and Finance Lecturer, I have gained extensive experience in teaching financial accounting, reporting, and analysis modules to diverse students. I use a variety of methods, such as lectures, group discussions, case studies, and interactive activities, to create a dynamic learning experience for my students.

My teaching approach is student-centered, which means I prioritize the needs of my students and tailor my lessons to meet their learning styles and pace. I understand that not all students learn the same way, and I make a conscious effort to engage with each of my students to ensure they grasp the content.

Throughout my teaching career, I have received exceptionally favorable feedback from my students, which is a testament to my ability to deliver impactful and engaging lessons. I believe that my innovative pedagogical technologies and methods enable me to bring the best out of my students and facilitate their learning.

Apart from my experience as a teaching assistant and university lecturer, I have excelled academically, earning distinctions in MSc Accounting and Finance in the UK and First-Class BSc (Honours) in Accountancy in Nigeria. I have also received various scholarships and awards, such as the Kent Scholar, Westminster Scholar, CRUTECH Scholar, ICAN Scholar, and CFI Scholar, which demonstrate my excellence and dedication to the accounting profession.

Overall, I am a result-oriented individual driven by a commitment to excellence, and my passion for teaching and research make me an ideal fit for any accounting and finance course.
