I am mostly self taught, which is an added bonus because with that discipline, I have learnt to look for areas of improvement. I have had teachers along the way who would point out areas I'd miss and going to Middlesex's University and Guildhall School of Music and Drama music program greatly enriched my self-tutoriship approach with the wealth of knowledge aquired. The essence of a teacher is basically to show us the door/doors that need opening.
Over the years, I have had students from absolute beginners looking to start playing the bass guitar/double bass and others who were advanced and had played a myriad of gigs but were looking for help to push their playing to the next level.
