I am a CELTA certified ESL teacher with over 9 years of experience teaching English to adults as well as teenage students (age 12+). Moreover, I am
• competent at preparing my own lesson plans, selecting appropriate texts and adapting ESL materials.

• organised and hard-working with the ability to learn new tasks.

I also help students develop important learning skills and good study habits useful in trade school or college education. In addition, I plan dynamic lessons to increase student comprehension of books and literary concepts. I incorporate games and thought provoking activities that would help my students engage, analyse, and relate to the topic.

I have experience in teaching learners of all ages and capabilities. To further develop myself professionally and learn more about teaching young learners, I completed various courses such as TYLEC and NILE Teens. Apart from observing colleagues and learning from them different teaching methodologies, I also like involving my students in the feedback cycle. It is very important for students to voice what activities they liked and did not enjoy in order for me to adapt materials to meet their need.

Although I started out by teaching students face to face, but during COVID, I learned and used various online mediums such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet to take classes.
