Ibrahim Hamid

Hi there! My name is Ibrahim Hamid and I am gap year student (applying to dental school) looking to give back to pupils to strengthen confidence in National 5 Mathematics. I achieved an A band 1 in my National 5 Mathematics exam and I am polished in terms of understanding the content and use my knowledge to not just memorise facts but to rather understand and apply them. My experience in teaching National 5 Mathematics comes from my role as a Numeracy Champion during my S6 year in which I helped younger students by tailoring my lessons to them one-on-one to provide the most ample level of support possible. I have seen great outcomes for my students as they have gained so much insight and experience in approaching all question types to create the best result possible. I provide a free consultation lesson in which I breakdown topics for my students before moving onto the main lessons if they wish to do so. The formula I revolves around identifying the weaknesses of my students in their National 5 Mathematics course and working on vastly improving their confidence to allow them to approach even the most complex questions in that area. Lessons will be structured and taught in ways that allow students to ask for what topics that need to be covered and feedback is taken on board every step of the way.
