I am a dedicated and supportive maths tutor specialising in GCSE Maths, GCSE Further Maths, A-level Maths, and A-level Further Maths. I achieved Grade 9 in GCSE Maths and Further Maths, an A in A-level Maths, and an A* in A-level Further Maths, giving me a strong understanding of both the content and the exam demands students face.

My lessons focus on building strong foundations first, ensuring students fully understand key concepts before moving on to more challenging exam-style questions. I place particular emphasis on clear explanations, structured problem-solving methods, and exam technique, helping students feel confident when approaching unfamiliar questions. Lessons are tailored to each student’s ability, pace, and goals, whether that is improving confidence, strengthening weaker topics, or aiming for top grades.

I believe a calm and encouraging learning environment is essential for progress. Students are always encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and actively engage with the material. I adapt my teaching style depending on the student, using step-by-step explanations, worked examples, and guided practice to reinforce understanding.

I also have prior tutoring experience from teaching primary school students in Korea, where I developed patience, adaptability, and clear communication skills. This experience has helped me work effectively with learners of different ages and abilities.

My aim is not only to help students achieve better grades, but also to help them develop confidence and independence in maths, so they feel well-prepared for exams and future study.
