Every lesson is built around one goal: you leave able to say something new, not just understand it. My students don't just study Korean, they use it from the very first class.

How a lesson works
We begin with a short warm-up in Korean to revisit what you learned last time and see what has stuck. Then we move to the main focus of the lesson, which might be grammar, a real-life situation (ordering food, a job interview, a business meeting), exam practice, or something you bring yourself, like a drama scene, a song or a news article. I explain grammar clearly in English first, so there's no guessing, and then you practise it by speaking. You can expect to talk a lot, from your very first lesson. Mistakes are welcome here: I correct them gently and in the moment, so they turn into progress rather than embarrassment.

Tailored to your level and goals
Complete beginners start from Hangul, with pronunciation, core grammar and everyday phrases, at a pace that feels comfortable. Intermediate learners work on sentence patterns, listening and confident conversation. Advanced learners focus on nuance, natural expressions, politeness levels and fluency. If you are preparing for TOPIK, we practise the exact question types and build a study plan around your exam date. If you need business Korean, we work on workplace vocabulary, emails, meetings and professional etiquette.

Materials and follow-up
I combine a solid textbook-style structure with authentic material such as dialogues, news clips, dramas and real workplace documents, chosen to match your interests. After each lesson, I share a short summary of what we covered and what to review, so you always know what to do before we meet again.
