Hugo Wooldridge

Hi! I’m a first-year Electrical and Electronic Engineering student at the University of Bath, and I’m really passionate about helping GCSE students feel more confident in Maths. I know from experience that Maths can seem tough at times, but once things “click,” it becomes much more enjoyable — and that’s exactly what I aim to help my students achieve.

My lessons are relaxed and supportive, with a focus on understanding rather than memorising. We’ll start by looking at which topics you find most challenging, then work through them step by step together. I like to explain ideas in simple, logical ways, and I encourage students to ask questions at any time — there’s no such thing as a silly question in my lessons!

I use practice questions, past papers, and real-life examples to show how Maths connects to everyday situations and the subjects you’ll study later on. I want each session to feel comfortable and productive, where you leave feeling more confident than when you started.

Since I’m a university student myself, I understand what it’s like to be preparing for exams and balancing revision. My goal is to help you improve your grades, but also to actually enjoy learning Maths along the way.
