l would use flash cards, powerpoints and games help learning look more fun to the students. l would see where their level is at or are they a beginner and start from there. l have always wanted to teacher people as l talk a lot growing up. If your a beginner l would start with the basics, like how to start a conversation, counting numbers and then start moving onto more harder lessons like learning animals, foods, flavours. l would take questions whenever they would want to ask and we would take a 5 minute break each 25 minutes using the promodoro method to help them focus more. l would allow them to have snack with them but it has to be something that wouldn’t distract them too much. After teaching the foods and animals, l would start teaching how to read chinese poems, adjectives and adverbs. l would ask them to read and write some books and set some activities for them to finished and test them maybe on the spot to see how fast they can take in and how much information they can take in. l would also mix some topics together as it is one of the most efficient ways to learn. l would teach them how to write chinese characters so they can write maybe letters and a paragraph and ask them to try read it depending on their level. l would also ask what topics they are stuck or do not understand of if they need help and the most important part is me helping them learn.
