Having been through various mentoring schemes and completed a 120 hour TEFL award while also on doing an English degree, I aim to give my students an engaging and practical approach to learning that ensures they gain the most from their time. I will use a student-lead method to encourage and help then develop their own skills rather than simply being taught.
Each lessons will be catered and useful for my students while remaining engaging, followed by feedback and improvements to help the student outside of their time with me. Having just been through the schooling process myself I aim to create content tailored to the expectations at my students level in school as well as their own goals and aspirations.
Lessons will take a hands-on and practical approach where the student will be able to ask frequent questions and repeat things as many times as they need to understand and develop. I will cater to my students strengths to ensure lessons are engaging and secondarily work on their areas for improvement in a gentle and encouraging way that ensures they fully understand the concept.
I will use my own experience of school to help guide them in a way that will also help them in classes and extra curricular, covering a range of content and lesson styles to find the best method for them. My aim is to create student-led lessons to create an optimal learning environment that suits their strengths and allows them to flourish. Happy learning!
