Depending on what stage of your secondary school education you are at, my lessons will be completely tailored to these needs. If you are approaching your GCSEs we will take a look through past papers, focussing on the information provided to us by the mark schemes in order for you to achieve the most marks possible on your papers. My lessons are designed to be interactive and engaging so will encourage active participation from yourself, even if that is just asking any question you may have - it is important to remember that no question is ever silly; if you are unsure you must ask! We will begin each session with a recap of any previous material to reinforce understanding before we build on this and introduce new concepts. We will complete a mix of explanations, practise exercises tailored to your level of study, I may perhaps include visual aids or even real-world examples to make your learning experience more relatable and thus, easier to understand. Equally, students are welcome to give feedback upon my teaching style and I will cater it to their learning style. My goal is to make tutoring effective, enjoyable and personalised. Previously, I have had work experience in a secondary school, teaching classes from year 7 all the way up to year 11, as well as observing experienced teachers in order to gain knowledge on techniques that are most effective in teaching. Similarly, during my time at college, aside from completing my a-levels, I also completed GCSE tutoring for students that were retaking their english GCSE and all of my students passed, achieving grade 6 and above, showing my capabilities for tutoring a subject I love.
