I teach in one to one setting so each individual student gets proper attention and is comfortable enough to ask questions. I use video tutorials to teach concepts that are hard to understand and so students can access them later as well. I carry out small assessments in every lesson to revise the previously taught concepts and then move forward with new concepts. I plan custom lectures and assessments to cater to each student's individual needs. I do give take home assessments in order for my students to practice what they have bene taught during lectures.
I have taught in the similar manner for 4+ years and all my students have improved their maths by at least 2 grades and aced their exams. Most my students did not feel the need to take any tuitions after being taught my me as their basics were improved which helped them understand the concepts from the core rather than rot learn to pass the exams.
