My teaching method:
I begin with 2/3 starter questions, which could be from any topic learnt together, and then we dive into the main content where i would explain the content with an 'i do, we do, you do' structure, to help build student's confidence.
then, we would go over homework given from last session, and at the end ask if there's any issues with the homework, and lastly, to end the lesson, i would email the student with all the content learned on the day.
I have had significant experience in teaching, especially as I currently tutor students of various ages, with different mathematical abilities(year 5, year 9 and also tutor for functional skills in maths for mature learners)

what makes my lessons different is the fact that i would engage the learner into thinking about the WHY, and their reasoning behind why they did what they did, and later on help tweak their thinking into the right way, which helps them feel encouraged to make mistakes, learn from them and also be confident enough to ask for the WHY if they do not understand something.
I also tailor my teaching depending on each student's ability by, for example, giving them a real life scenario, so that they can imagine what they are being asked to work out.
I also reply to all my emails and messages as soon as they are sent, and if there's any issues in understanding content, i will happily go over it as many times as you want.
