Hima Mouli

Hey there! I’m Hima Mouli- part-time English tutor and full-time bookworm! My mission in teaching English language and literature is to give every one of my students the confidence to articulate themselves accurately and intelligently. Building language skills isn’t just about communication; it’s about developing your ability to understand and think about the things you see and read, seeing patterns and connections that most people would miss. If you ask me, studying language and literature unlocks your overall potential in navigating the world!

I am fluent in three languages– English, Tamil, and Hindi– and I speak German at a basic level. As my introduction may suggest, I have always been passionate about language, literature, and teaching, and I hope to inspire a similar wonder in all my students.

I use an interactive method that encourages active learning as opposed to the passive listening typical of classroom environments. This ensures that my tutoring sessions don’t overload you with information; instead, they go at your own pace and equip you with the comprehension and capability to approach the subject of English (language or literature) with confidence!

Sessions are typically an hour long, but can be adjusted as per individual needs. I have experience teaching the basics of reading and spoken English to 3-6-year-olds, teaching English as a second language to middle schoolers and high schoolers, and teaching high-level literary analysis and academic writing at a university level.
