Henry Every

Our lessons involve a blend of entertaining exercises such as warm-up games and vocabulary exercises, followed by some more focused academic exercises.

We will spend the first couple of lessons understanding your current strengths and weaknesses, and I will then tailor my lesson materials to target those weaker areas to bring you up to scratch! It's important that I can learn about your interests and hobbies so that I can incorporate those into our lessons as we progress. From my own experience, learning is done best when you are able to connect with it on a more personal level, and I try my best to inspire and encourage!

As well as working on academic skills such as creative writing, essay writing, comprehension and analytical responses, I endeavour to work on some character building aspects such as conversational skills, pronunciation and general manners. As one of my specialties is Interview Preparation for UK Boarding Schools, I maintain a high standard of communication and general behaviour.

Confidence is key to achieving success, and alongside our day-to-day academic exercises, I will try to add in some confidence building exercises that work on improving skills such as presentations, public speaking, debate and sales-pitch work. If there is an interest, we can also dive into some more creative exercises such as digital design, marketing, photography, poetry - the sky is the limit!

I am a very enthusiastic teacher with many of my own interests - I enjoy balancing academic work with more general subjects that are applicable both in and outside of the classroom.
