Helen Dowdell

I have a HND in Early Years Childhood Studies and over 20 years experience in early years and primary education. I love being part of a child’s learning journey. I am very creative and enjoy incorporating that into my lessons by designing games, songs and resources based on children’s personal interests. I have training in phonics and reading. I have worked with children individually and in small groups and understand how to plan, deliver, adapt and monitor progress. I am Attention Autism trained and know the importance of tailoring lessons to the individual child’s needs. I have also run my own sensory classes for under 5’s based on my knowledge of how children learning through a multi-sensory approach.
