Helen Birkinhead

I am a former Headteacher - but don’t let that put you off! I have worked in many different educational settings, with students of all abilities and from varied backgrounds - in special schools, residential schools, colleges and secure training centres. I am very approachable and friendly, and will do my best to put you at ease.

Face to face sessions are preferable, however I can arrange for them to be online if necessary. The programme would start with an initial conversation, to reassure you about what will to expect, and so that we can get to know each other a little better ahead of starting to work together.

Subsequent sessions will be tailored to your need, learning style and desired end-goal. I want you to succeed, and I’ll try to make it easy (and sometimes fun) for you, but will need your commitment to engage and co-operate in order to achieve your goals. I may set challenges or tasks to be completed during or between sessions, but these would be at your pace, and aimed at your level of understanding, so won’t be daunting. I am here to support you - not make things difficult…

My aim is to prepare you for the world of eduction, and ultimately work. I get a great deal of satisfaction from seeing other people develop personally, and will do all I can to facilitate this.
