I like to centre my lessons around deep understanding of concepts. I prefer to help my students engage with parts of mathematics they find difficult through challenging and interesting examples and problems, rather than repetitive and boring practice. I firmly believe that every student can achieve good grades with enough dedicated attention and a tutor who really understands what they're struggling with.

My lessons typically run an hour, and will be centred around areas that the student is currently covering in school and may be finding difficult. All of this is flexible though, and I'm available to teach for shorter or longer periods as necessary, as well as tutor in specific topics, or spend longer on parts of the course the student is finding difficult. More than anything, I think it is important to feel relaxed while learning maths, and I aim to avoid a student feeling rushed or panicked.

I have a range of experience with students of different ages, and have seen good progression and results from them.
