My lessons are structured, engaging, and carefully adapted to each student’s needs. I aim to create a calm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as this is where real learning happens. Whether a student is struggling with the basics, aiming to improve exam performance, or working towards top grades, lessons are always tailored to their goals.

Each lesson typically starts with a short recap of previous material or homework to identify any gaps in understanding. From there, new content is introduced step by step, using clear explanations and intuitive reasoning rather than rote memorisation. I place a strong emphasis on understanding why methods work, as this helps students apply their knowledge confidently to unfamiliar questions.

Lessons include plenty of guided practice using exam-style questions, with worked examples and gradual progression towards independent problem-solving. I regularly pause to check understanding and adjust the pace where needed. A key part of my teaching focuses on exam technique, including how to interpret command words, structure answers clearly, manage time effectively, and avoid common mistakes that cost easy marks.

Having studied Maths and Physics to A-Level and currently continuing my studies in physics, I am very familiar with the challenges students face at GCSE and A-Level. This allows me to explain difficult concepts in a way that is accessible and relatable. I also share effective revision strategies, problem-solving approaches, and mindset tips that helped me succeed academically.

I am patient, organised, and reliable, and I take pride in helping students build confidence alongside academic ability. My goal is for every student to leave lessons feeling clearer, more motivated, and better equipped to achieve their potential.
