A typical maths tutoring lesson with me begins with a quick check-in to review the student’s understanding of previous material and identify any lingering questions. I then introduce the day’s topic with a clear explanation, using visual aids or real-life examples to make the concept relatable. We work through a few practice problems together, with me guiding the student through each step and encouraging them to explain their reasoning. Once they show some confidence, I let them try similar problems independently, offering support where needed. I adapt the pace based on their comfort level and include short challenges or games to keep the session engaging. We finish with a brief recap and discuss what to focus on next time, ensuring steady progress and boosting their confidence in maths.
