My Religious Studies lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to the student’s specific exam board and goals. I focus on building strong content knowledge alongside the analytical skills needed to achieve top grades. Each lesson combines three key elements: clear explanation, active discussion, and focused exam practice.

I begin by breaking down complex philosophical, ethical, and religious ideas into clear and precise points, ensuring students properly understand the material rather than simply memorising it. I then use questioning and discussion to develop critical thinking, helping students evaluate arguments, compare scholars, and form their own reasoned views. This is essential for producing high quality answers.

A central part of my teaching is exam technique. I regularly use past questions, model answers, and structured writing tasks to show students exactly how to meet mark scheme criteria. This includes how to build strong arguments, use scholars effectively, and write clearly under timed conditions.

I study Philosophy, Religion, and Ethics at university level, which allows me to bring deeper understanding when helpful while keeping lessons focused on exam success. Lessons are adapted to each student, whether they need to catch up, consolidate knowledge, or push to the highest grades. The aim is to build both confidence and performance. I also provide clear feedback after each session, with specific targets and strategies for improvement.
