I offer online lessons teaching mathematics and physics at various levels, including GCSEs, A-Levels and Olympiads. I also offer mentoring for Oxbridge applicants - help with admissions test preparation and mock interviews. My style of teaching is very interactive - I use collaborative whiteboards such as Miro to work on problems together as if we were at a whiteboard in real life. Students come to lessons with problems, be it from their on-syllabus education or from their own self-study. One of my aims as a tutor is to nurture independent learning while providing the best possible problem-solving techniques to do so. I then go through misconceptions/issues and any more interesting notes on the problem. What I believe is essential is as much practice as possible, so I aim to issue problem sheets to develop newly learned skills. These problem sheets may contain 5-10 problems ranging from easy to extra-hard difficulty. Lessons will be held via Google Meet or Zoom, depending on student preferences. I also like using Desmos and GeoGebra to visually explain concepts. My experience in teaching students includes mentoring high-achieving Mathematics students in problems from the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge and Kangaroo challenges. I have also provided students from STEM backgrounds (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science) with mock interviews to help with applications to Undergraduate courses at Oxford. Overall, I am a passionate teacher who enjoys educating students from all backgrounds in STEM-focused subjects and helping them achieve top GCSE and A-Level grades, write excellent personal statements and participate in competitive exams, like Olympiads.
