My lessons are carefully structured, engaging, and personalised to suit each student’s individual needs and learning style. I use clear presentations, visual resources, examples, and guided explanations to help students understand challenging concepts and develop a deeper understanding of their GCSE English Literature texts.
Each lesson focuses on building essential exam skills, including analysing quotations, exploring themes and characters, improving essay structure, and developing confident, well-supported arguments. I break down complex ideas into smaller, manageable steps, helping students feel less overwhelmed and more confident in their abilities.
I also like to make lessons interactive by encouraging students to share their ideas, ask questions, and practise applying what they have learnt through exam-style questions. I provide helpful feedback and guidance to help students recognise their strengths and areas for improvement.
As a current GCSE student, I understand the challenges students face when studying English Literature and have up-to-date knowledge of the current exam requirements. My aim is to create a supportive and motivating environment where students can improve their skills, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals.
As I am have recently studied for my GCSEs, I understand first-hand the challenges students may face when preparing for exams and studying difficult texts , which allows me to relate to students on a personal level and create a more comfortable learning environment where they feel confident asking questions and expressing their ideas. I aim to be a supportive tutor who not only helps students improve academically, but also helps them build confidence and enjoy English Literature more.
