I would initially provide an introduction session where we would collectively conduct a checklist of what topics we are going to learn. I would then ask the student to use the traffic light system to highlight which topics they need extra help with. From there I will plan the lessons according ensuring to prioritise the topics in which the most help and support is needed. In my teaching approach, I like to relate the lesson to real life situations to help make it more relatable and making it somewhat easier. My lessons would include discussions and constant interactions as I like to engage with my students throughout their learning. I like to use short videos which have catchy phrases or visuals that will be helpful. I am very organised and will ensure that there many different materials and resources available for the student to learn within and out of tuition hours. My teaching technique is to ensure to build relations with my students so they feel comfortable asking for help and support as this is very important. My lessons would include fun yet knowledgable games, puzzles and quizzes to help students learn in a less pressured way. This also helps to test the students progression and record the level of learning.
