Hannah Batley

I’m currently studying a maths degree at the university of leeds and obtained an A at A-level and a 9 at GCSE receiving 231/240 marks. I have tutored a variety of students including ones my age and in younger years. One of my best experiences in tutoring was helping a year 11 student improve her grade from a 5 to an 8.

I have also spent time within classrooms providing support for students and the teachers. In this time I worked individually with students and in groups to go over and answer questions from worksheets and tasks they had been set.

During the first session I will aim to start to gather information of what the student may need extra help on and focus our next sessions on that. I am happy to help talk students through questions or look over them once they are completed and give feedback! I am also happy to walk through the curriculum with them to pinpoint what further sessions may want to be focused on throughout that first session.

Students are welcome to change the focus of their next tutoring session at any time and I will work to gather materials and resources that are relevant to the students needs. I am also happy to spend longer on certain topics if that is what’s needed to help further solidify understanding of a topic.
