I tend to use online resources such as textbooks, but I also have enjoyed helping students with their homework. My lessons are based around what you personally need, if I find that you need more improvement I may set a small amount of homework outside of lessons. I can adapt to improve your weakest topics.
During exam season I will assist you with revision, go through past papers with you and use the most efficient revision techniques to ensure you are improving, whilst also reflecting on your responses to your past exams where possible.

In terms of learning the English language as a foreign language, I will base my lessons around your skill level with multiple tiers or levels of books. If you are preparing for a speaking exam I will emulate a mock examination for you to practice with me.

For GCSE or Alevel English, I am mainly able to assist on these books - Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, The Great Gatsby and The Handmaid's Tale. (Other texts may have less detailed teaching)
For plays - Macbeth, Othello, An Inspector Calls and A Streetcar Named Desire.
Any poetry anthologies. (AQA poetry anthology, Feminine Gospels, unseen poetry/prose etc)
I have extensive PowerPoints and resources for English Literature, but for English Language I will tend to focus on methods and techniques along with the mark schemes and utilise past papers as my main source of teaching.
