I'm a native Korean speaker with an MA in Korean–English Interpretation & Translation and more than five years of experience as a professional interpreter and translator. I've interpreted at business meetings, international trade fairs and site visits, and I've written clear guides and training materials for teams who needed to understand complex information quickly. All of this work comes down to one thing: helping people communicate, and that's exactly what my lessons are about.
Because I use Korean and English every day, I know where English speakers usually get stuck: honorifics and speech levels, particles, word order, and the pronunciation changes that textbooks rarely explain well. I break these down simply and clearly in English, with plenty of examples from real life, so they finally make sense.
Every lesson is tailored to you. Beginners start with Hangul, pronunciation and useful everyday phrases, and quickly move on to simple conversations. Intermediate and advanced students practise natural speaking, listening and writing, build vocabulary and get honest, patient feedback. I can also prepare you for the TOPIK exam, or help you with business Korean for emails, meetings and workplace etiquette.
Learning a language is also about understanding its culture, so I share insights into Korean customs, etiquette and everyday life, from K-dramas and K-pop to travel tips. You'll learn not just what to say, but how and when to say it.
After each lesson, you'll receive personalised notes and practice materials. My goal is simple: to help you enjoy learning Korean and speak it with confidence.
