Hi! I’ve been working as an English teaching assistant at an international training center (XDF) and have also taught my younger brother Maths, English, and Science from Grade 1 to Grade 7. I speak Chinese, Korean, and self-taught Japanese, so I can also teach basic grammar, vocabulary, daily conversations for these languages. Beyond academics, I achieved a distinction in ABRSM Grade 8 piano performance and an ARSM diploma, allowing me to teach fundamental music theory and performance skills with enthusiasm.

I believe there’s no such thing as a student who can’t learn — it’s all about finding the right approach. Writing tens of thousands of feedback on students' English speaking and vocabulary practice has trained me to quickly identify the key points where students tend to make mistakes and understand their thinking patterns. My focus is on identifying the root causes behind mistakes and understanding each student’s learning habits. Sometimes the issue lies in a lack of interest in the subject, difficulty staying focused, or gaps in foundational knowledge that make advanced topics harder to grasp.

Before formal tutoring begins, I usually prepare a few short quizzes based on the student’s textbook to check their understanding and set clear goals for our future lessons. During classes, I explain concepts through key examples, real-life connections, and visual aids. Previously, I shared weekly scientific facts with my own drawings to make complex ideas easier to understand, which also shapes my current teaching style. My lessons are interactive, visual, and designed to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
