Hanli Adendorff

My name is Hanli Adendorff. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Foundation Phase at the end of 2020. Within 2020 I also completed my TEFL course.
I have been working at HH Academy Primary for the past 6 years as a grade 3 teacher (4 years) and 2 years as the grade 4 and 5 language teacher and HOD. During this time, I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge of the CAPS curriculum and SASAMS. I have also gained a lot of experience in maintaining discipline in the classroom.
I have been part of various extra mural programmes and activities. I have experience as the head of the school’s fundraising and entertainment committee. My duties included organizing outings, school functions and various prize giving events.
Within the teaching profession, I see myself as a teacher always willing to go the extra mile for my learners, stepping out of my comfort zone to ensure they succeed and reach their full potential. I strive for self-growth and development within the working sector, not only for myself but for my students as well.
I feel teaching is a rewarding career because it allows teachers to be a positive influence in children’s lives. Teaching allows me to fulfil my dreams and pursue my passion. I love and enjoy teaching and want to inspire others and make a difference. My goal is to adequately set the foundation for my learners to progress to further grades. I therefore see myself as hardworking, creative, patient and a driven individual.
I also have experience in various online teaching programmess and gained some experience with their curriculums.
