My lessons are calm, supportive and focused on helping you feel confident with English while also improving your exam results. I create a relaxed space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning without pressure.
Each lesson is structured but flexible. We usually start by looking at what you’re currently studying or finding difficult, then work through it together using clear explanations, examples and guided practice. I use GCSE exam questions, texts and mark schemes to show you exactly how answers are expected to be written and how marks are awarded.
We spend time building strong paragraphs, improving vocabulary, analysing texts, and practising how to write in a way examiners love. I also give personalised feedback so you always know what you’re doing well and what to work on next.
I’m also very patient and adaptable — if something doesn’t make sense, we slow it down and find a different way to explain it until it clicks. Whether you need help with essays, reading comprehension, creative writing or exam technique, I tailor every lesson to you so you feel supported, motivated and ready to improve.
believe English isn’t just about passing exams — it’s about learning how to express yourself clearly and confidently. I want every student I teach to feel heard, understood and capable, and to leave each lesson feeling more confident in their abilities than when they started.
Because I’ve recently taken these exams myself and I’m currently studying A-level English Literature, I understand the GCSE course, the pressure of exams and what students really need to succeed. My aim is not just to improve grades, but to help you feel confident, capable and proud of your work.
