I am currently a dental student. I have prior experience with tutoring and have aided many positive outcomes for students, that being in my school and privately too. I achieved a grade 8 in maths at GCSE and an A at A-Level so have a strong understanding of the subject. My first lesson would consist of getting to know the student and getting them comfortable. I would then identify any specific areas that they need help in and we would work on that. This way, the student is always aware of what’s happening in the lesson but also allows them to receive the maximum benefits. Throughout my studies, I found that practice questions were key to fully grasping a concept as you’re able to apply the knowledge and see if you’ve fully understood it, and hence my lessons would consist of teaching the concept and then doing past paper questions to consolidate the knowledge.
