My lessons are designed to be engaging, personalised, and confidence-building. I always begin by getting to know each student’s goals, strengths, and challenges so that every session is tailored to their needs. Whether a student is preparing for GCSEs, SATs, or AS Levels, or simply wants to improve overall English skills, I create clear lesson plans that support steady progress.

A typical lesson includes a warm-up activity to ease into the session (I love a good word search or anagram!), followed by focused work on reading, writing, or exam technique depending on the student’s objectives. I incorporate a mixture of explanation, guided practice, and independent tasks, and I always make sure students understand why certain skills matter—not just how to apply them. For exam preparation, I use past papers, mark schemes, and personalised feedback to help students build accuracy, confidence, and time-management.
For students with dyslexia or other learning differences, I provide a patient, supportive environment and adapt materials to make them accessible. This may include breaking tasks into smaller steps, using visual aids, or exploring alternative ways to approach reading and writing.
Throughout all my lessons, I prioritise encouragement, clarity, and open communication. My goal is for students not only to improve their grades but also to genuinely enjoy the subject. I am passionate about English and love helping others discover the same confidence and enthusiasm.
