Gu-Yeon Kwak

Hello! My name is Gu-Yeon, and I am a native Korean speaker currently studying for an MSc in Management at University College London (UCL).

I have more than two years of teaching experience, helping students improve their language skills through personalised and engaging lessons. Throughout my teaching experience, I have worked with students of different ages, levels, and learning styles, which has taught me the importance of adapting lessons to each individual student's goals and needs.

My Korean lessons are designed to be practical, interactive, and enjoyable. Whether you are a complete beginner, an intermediate learner, or someone looking to improve conversational fluency, I will tailor each lesson specifically to your objectives. I can help with speaking, listening, reading, writing, pronunciation, grammar, travel Korean, business Korean, and everyday conversations.

I believe that language learning is most effective when students feel comfortable and confident. For this reason, I create a friendly and supportive learning environment where mistakes are seen as part of the learning process. I encourage students to actively participate, ask questions, and practise Korean in real-life situations rather than simply memorising vocabulary and grammar rules.

My lessons typically combine structured learning with practical conversation practice. Depending on your level, we may use customised materials, dialogues, articles, videos, and cultural content to make lessons engaging and relevant. I also provide feedback and study tips to help students continue improving outside of class.

As both a language learner and a teacher, I understand the challenges of learning a new language. My goal is not only to help you improve your Korean skills but also to build your confidence and make the learning journey enjoyable.
