Every lesson is tailored to the individual student. Before we begin a new topic, I take the time to understand where you are currently, identify any gaps in your knowledge and adapt my teaching to suit the way you learn best. I believe every student is capable of succeeding in maths when concepts are explained clearly and patiently.

Throughout secondary school, I regularly helped classmates who were struggling in maths, both during lessons and after school. Those experiences taught me that the key to improving is not simply memorising methods, but developing a genuine understanding of the mathematics behind them. Once you truly understand a topic, you can confidently tackle almost any question, even if it is presented in an unfamiliar way.

Alongside building understanding, I place a strong emphasis on exam technique. I will show you how to approach different question types, present your working clearly, avoid common mistakes and maximise the number of marks you pick up in exams.

I also set carefully chosen homework after lessons. I believe homework should be purposeful rather than overwhelming. There is no benefit in giving hours of repetitive work that gets in the way of your other subjects. Instead, I provide focused questions that reinforce what we have covered, strengthen your understanding and help build long term confidence. Completing these consistently will make a noticeable difference to both your understanding and your grades.

My lessons are relaxed, engaging and interactive. I encourage students to ask as many questions as they need, because building confidence is just as important as learning the content. My aim is for every student to leave each lesson with a stronger understanding than when they arrived, feeling more confident in their ability and better prepared for their exams.
