I am an experienced business professional and leader having worked for and with both blue-chip global businesses and small start up businesses. After 30+ years of hard-won business experience I have retrained as an Executive Coach.
My sessions are therefore real-world and focused on you, the student. I rely heavily on many tried and trusted principles of both management and leadership, always looking to develop and advise on the key skills that the student feels they need to focus on. Within that there is also the opportunity to look at career planning and self-development.
I do not rely on multiple diagrams and reams of text and see more benefit in a genuine conversation around individual needs and requirements. There is not set agenda or route map as everybody's goals are different and they may not even know what they are when we first speak. There are also different means of achieving those goals and in my sessions I like to explore which is most suited to the individual student.
One of the key attributes of good leaders is the ability to take responsibility for oneself and to be aware of your own vulnerabilities and it is often acknowledging these vulnerabilities that leads individuals to their own successes and achievements.
I try to make all sessions fun, relatable, individual and focused on the things that matter most to the individual student, there is no curriculum and no black and white programme. There is a process and some key areas to explore and most of my previous students or coachees comment on the benefit they have derived from our sessions.
