Tutoring is most effective when we have clear targets for improving your skills in science. In my work, I will ask for advanced notice of what you want to get better at - perhaps a topic, or a type of exam question.
In the session I will start by explaining clearly the concepts of the target topic, then showing you how to use the knowledge. Finally I will ask you to use the skill(s), and work together with you until you are confident. I will then give you some example questions to take away, with answers supplied; this is often called "I do, we do, you do".
I do this with patience and supportiveness - I will get you confident and help you to find the joy in science and physics!

I have been teaching for over 30 years, and tutoring for 5; I work as a head of physics at a large comprehensive school. I have a strong track record of success with students. I have a large catalogue of resources that I can share with my tutees.
I am also an experienced examiner with the AQA exam board in the UK, and will be working this year with the EDEXCEL exam board. This experience gives my valuable insight into how to best approach the exam - what the examiners are looking for - and I can share this with you.
If you needed any more reason to choose me, I am a teachers' coach! This role entails mentoring other teachers to help them get better at their job in the classroom. I can bring this to our sessions and help you reach your goals.
