As a recently graduated music student, I understand what it feels like to be on both sides of a lesson - the excitement of learning something new, and the challenges that come with developing confidence, technique, and expression. My aim is to create lessons that are enjoyable, motivating, and tailored to each student's goals and personality.

I teach classical piano, classical and jazz singing, and classical and jazz clarinet. I have sung classically from a very young age and now perform regularly in high-level chamber choirs. I began classical piano at age eight and studied it as my primary instrument for the first two years of university. I played classical clarinet throughout school before switching to jazz clarinet in my later years, and I discovered jazz singing in my final year of university, which has since become my real passion.

Lessons are flexible in format: we can focus on technique and tone development, sight-reading, theory, improvisation, or building a repertoire that inspires you. For beginners, I emphasise clear foundations and healthy technique from the start. For more experienced students, I encourage exploration, stylistic awareness, and musical interpretation.

Each session is interactive and student-led - I like to balance structured learning with creativity and curiosity. I aim to help students feel confident in their progress and proud of their sound, while maintaining a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

My lessons are focused but friendly, with clear goals and constructive feedback. Whether you're working towards grades, preparing for a performance, or simply learning for fun, I'll help you develop your skills, musicianship, and enjoyment of music at your own pace.
