Grace Critchley

I have many years of tutoring experience. I have worked one on one with individual students, either those struggling at school, or at the higher end and wanting to push themselves even further and develop their love for a subject. I’ve also worked with Oxford Summer Courses where I taught classes of up to 10 international students from all over the world, who had an interest in STEM. I built my own course, including lectures on the immune system, cancer and immunotherapies, learnt about each of the student’s educational journeys and aimed to inspire them to pursue further education in STEM and to apply to competitive universities to do so. I have also worked with Universify education which is a charity that supports students to achieve their potential regardless of their background, I tutored in Biology, in addition to giving advice on options for further education and how to make a strong application. My feedback has been great so far, the students seem to like my teaching approach and find my classes to be a friendly and supportive environment, ideal for learning without judgement and encouraged to try and fail and continue to try until they get it right.
