Gordon Telling

I am experienced in teaching adults and young people through my role as a qualified instructor in the Army Cadets as well as through my professional roles in business, where I have delivered training to adults.

I have significant experience of writing and have had articles published in the mainstream media as well as in technical journals. I am also well-spoken and have presented on television and radio as well as on social media.

I like to understand the level the student is at and then make sure that the basics are in place before moving forward.

Having been a parent I am experienced in the challenges that young people face. At the same time I understand that it can be daunting for older students who may have been away for learning for some time.

I like to be prepared and will expect students to do some preparation too - I work on the basis that students get out what they put in. I like to use examples to illustrate my points and to help students to see different perspectives.

I am happy to support students that just need a top-up or those who are taking their first steps and all those in between.

I usually deliver training online but would be prepared to visit a learner's home if it was up to 5 miles away from WV6 in Wolverhampton.
