In my lessons, I will be helping to boost students' skills and tactics when answering exam questions as well as teaching methods of how to revise effectively by assessing the student's strengths and weaknesses. I will collaborate with students to find out what their working points are and apply these to the content and structure of the lessons. Each lesson will be tailored to each student and will be a close match on how they can excel even further in their chosen subject.
I think it’s most important to have flexible working lessons in which I will ensure the students are comfortable in being completely open and honest on areas they find difficulty with and which topics they hope to improve on
I have had previous work experience working with youngsters in school as well as personal experience through teaching my younger sister who was diagnosed with physical/learning needs from a young age, I have learnt to develop skills such as patience and better communication, paying careful attention to what the individual requires support on and respecting their needs whilst ensuring I am helping them to the best of my ability
I am now in focused study groups at my university where I work together with other undergraduates to formulate ideas around successful revision techniques and solidify our subject knowledge
