Hi! I'm Gonçalo. I'm a half spanish, half portuguese engineering student has been tutoring on the side for at least 5 years. I grew up in several countries in Africa, and moved to the UK in 2023 to attend an international boarding school. I love swimming, rock climbing and meeting new people. I spent most of my life in Africa, where I gained practical experience tutoring underprivileged children for 3 years. Since I moved to the UK in 2023, I volunteered at my school's "Language Guides" to teach languages. 10 months ago, I began teaching online as well. Most of the lessons I teach are Maths, English, Spanish or French, but I am also qualified to teach other subjects such as Physics, History, Economics, etc.

I usually begin my first lesson by asking the student some questions, to find out what level they are at, but also to find out the way they think (if it is a STEM subject). I also try to build a rapport with my tutee, so the sessions can be more enjoyable for both. I love talking to them about their interests and am usually available at outside hours for any questions.
