As an online tutor for Infant and Nursery learners, I focus on making every lesson fun, simple, and engaging. At this early stage, children learn best through play, repetition, and visual interaction. That’s why I use a play-based and child-centered approach to keep them focused and happy while learning online.
In my sessions, I use colorful visuals, flashcards, puppets, real objects, and sometimes music or short videos to introduce basic concepts like letters, numbers, colors, shapes, animals, and daily routines. I use Total Physical Response (TPR) techniques—like gestures, clapping, and singing to help children understand and remember new words.
I keep my instructions short and clear, and I repeat key words or phrases to build their language slowly. I always speak with energy, smile often, and use positive reinforcement to encourage participation, even if the child is shy or quiet.
I also apply simple storytelling, rhymes, and games that are appropriate for their age and attention span. Each lesson is short, structured, and flexible based on the child's mood and learning pace.
In my experience teaching children through mobile library sessions and basic learning activities, I’ve learned the importance of patience, warmth, and consistency. My goal is not just to teach English, but to help the child feel confident, loved, and excited to learn.
With the right tone, rhythm, and care, even online learning can feel just like playtime and that’s where real learning begins. Learning is joyful when teaching is loving, creative, interactive, consistent, patient, visual, kind, and full of encouragement.
