My teaching method is pupil centre which allow pupils to be actively involved in the learning process.
To make learning interactive and interesting I make use of diagram, pictures, videos, interactive board and other instructional materials.
At primary level I set out my lesson obljectives to give me a direction or guidelines before introducing the topic to the pupils for examples when dealing with shapes at primary level I introduce all kind of shapes through pictures and diagram I also draw them on the whiteboard and teach them to identify all various kind of regular shapes at their level they must understand what a length, width, height, perimeter, area and diagonal of these shapes. I will take the teaching method step by step.The first step is identifying the regular shapes and giving the pupils the properties of each regular shapes and their special identity The next step is to introduce the formula of each shape for example the area of rectangle is Length multiply by breadth while the area of square is length multiply by length, the next step is to give examples of problems to solve on the white sheet and I will give series of solved problem step after step with accuracy.
The next step is to give evaluation to the pupils for the pupils to participate in the learning process to determine their performance and level of assimilation. Lastly, I will mark their exercise books and correct the pupils with love to help their confident in the subject matter.
Moreso with my wealth of experience for training pupils in mathematics for more than ten years I hope I will equip my pupils.
