Gianfranco Gentile

Hello! I’m Gianfranco. I am a certified U.S. Secondary English and ESL teacher with over twenty years of experience in language and education. Originally from Italy, I’ve lived in London for more than two decades and have spent much of my career helping people communicate confidently and effectively in English across academic, professional, and social settings.

My lessons are fully personalised to your objectives, interests, and pace. In our first meeting, we’ll identify your goals and design a clear study plan together. I focus on practical communication, combining grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation practice with meaningful conversation and authentic materials such as news articles, podcasts, and short videos. You’ll learn how to use English naturally in real-world situations while strengthening the accuracy and range of your language.

I’ve worked with teenagers and adults from many different countries and levels, from complete beginners to advanced speakers. I also help students prepare for IELTS, TOEFL, and Cambridge English exams, improve academic or business writing, and develop presentation and interview skills.

My teaching style is friendly, structured, and interactive. I believe students learn best when lessons are enjoyable, relevant, and confidence-building. You’ll speak from the very first class, receive constructive feedback, and notice steady progress with each session.
