I try to make teaching as enjoyable as possible!
During my classes, my students and I watch short films once a week to enhance their listening ability while discussing aspects of the film in English for them to be more confident in their speaking skills.
I also provide my students with basic writing prompts, in which we will write a basic response. I usually grade the responses and give comments to improve their writing skills for the next week. After finishing the response, my students and I usually have a dancing break to encourage them for the rest of the lesson.
For more advanced students, I usually propose a more complicated prompt for discussion and writing to improve their skills. They are also provided with an introduction to literature and basic analysis skills. I use literary and non-literary texts so my students can have a broader experience analyzing texts such as movies, songs, articles, and novels.
Beginner students are provided basic dictation, listening, and reading skills to make them more confident in their English skills. I will help
them build up on the skills they learn in school and make them excel within their class.
I graduated high school this year and want to pursue teaching as a career in my gap year. I have tutored English for children in the two years I lived in Hong Kong and have been assisting in teaching English during basketball camps with American groups in Middle East countries.
I will happily tutor children of any age and make them love the English language more while improving their skills.
