I tailor all my sessions to the specific needs of the student, remaining attentive and assessing areas of improvement throughout. Generally, I take a hybrid approach, utilising both teacher-led instruction and student-centred learning. In practice, this often looks like working through pre-prepared slides at the start of a session to establish knowledge of the topic. Then, we work through exam and essay questions to develop understanding of the topic. I have found this approach to be the best for developing a student’s confidence and understanding of a topic.
