I try to replicate what my best teachers did for me: learn how the student learns best and provide lessons in ways, which not only teaches the subject but also sparks interest. I will stick to the syllabus but never so rigidly it leaves someone bored or feeling their interest is being suppressed. I also believe understanding is the best way to remember and improve at things not memorisation. So always will endeavour to never answer a question with a dismissive "thats not in the syllabus" as even if it is not I know the exploration of such areas will help the learning of content on syllabus.
I am offering Music Theory lessons and Computer Science lessons as these subjects both come naturally to me and are ones I feel I can best teach. I achieved a 9 at GCSE and A* at A level in Computer Science and often found myself explaining and teaching concepts to my peers. I am currently studying Music at University Of Bristol, and achieved this through gaining merit in my grade 8 music theory through self guided study in a limited timeframe. I learnt how to best focus lessons through these self guided studies.
I look forward to being able pass on my philosophies toward teaching and my skills in the specific subject. Not only do I hope to help you achieve your goals within exams I hope to make you enjoy learning the subject and curious for more, no matter the level you are currently on or feelings towards the subject currently.
See you soon!
