I have over two years of experience tutoring GCSE students in STEM subjects, including students with SEN. My tutees have consistently achieved tremendous improvements in their final results compared to their mock and predicted grades.
Alongside tutoring, I have volunteered at a children's hackathon event where I introduced younger students to the basics of programming and helped spark their interest in computing. I currently work at a children's science centre, where I explain scientific experiments in a way that is engaging, interactive, and easy for young learners to understand.
I adapt my teaching style to suit each student, recognising that everyone learns differently. I encourage students to challenge themselves by working through questions outside their comfort zone while ensuring they feel supported throughout the process. I am patient and always happy to explain concepts in multiple ways until the student feels confident in their understanding.
I am currently working towards a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at UEA. I achieved strong GCSE and A-level results in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science. For my Computer Science NEA project, I developed a small “Cool Maths”-style game using Java and the LibGDX framework.
